Frequently Asked Questions
A high-quality refractory paste should first of all provide a stable hold throughout the entire firing cycle, reducing the risk of micro-movements that could compromise the final result.
It should also be formulated to promote even heat distribution, helping to maintain a uniform temperature and preserve the quality of the restoration even during high-temperature firing cycles.
Finally, effective fixation should not require excessive amounts of material, but should provide stability and control even with minimal product application.
These are the criteria that guided the development of Pyros and make it our standard for securing restorations during ceramic firing.
Pyros can be removed simply with a jet of compressed air. The paste leaves no residue on the restoration and requires no additional cleaning.
Yes. Its stability at high temperatures makes Pyros suitable for providing support during crack repairs in pressed ceramics, work on the margins of all-ceramic restorations, and crystallisation cycles for CAD/CAM restorations.
